Vidblaster is software voor de live productie van video voor webcast of harddisk opname. Voor het maken van een professionele live uitzending is alleen een video/usb of ip camera nodig, een pc met de vidblaster software en een internetverbinding. Met vidblaster kunt u meercamera registraties maken en deze combineren met videofilms, tekst overlay 's, grafische overlay 's, audio, live schermopnamen en ingebouwde effecten zoals splitscreens en picture in pictures. Met de mixer kunt u al deze bronnen met elkaar combineren tijdens de live uitzending.

Het resultaat wordt live gestreamd naar een windows mediaserver, flash server, vga scherm of tv of een van de vele video diensten zoals Ustream.com, Stickcam.com, justin.tv en nog vele andere.
De Vidblaster output wordt in de Adobe Flash Mediaencoder herkent als camera en hiermee is het mogelijk een live videostream te realiseren naar iedere Flash media server.
